The EXCEL+ Career Readiness plus Leadership program is modified from the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) career readiness competencies. The program is designed to assist UCR students in articulating skills obtained through participation in courses, programs, and extracurricular activities they are already involved in on campus. By showing mastery over the 10 UCR competencies, we hope to bridge the gap for students, ensuring a smooth transition from education to employment. By completing some or most of the competency requirements in our program, students will leave UCR better prepared for the complexities of navigating the job market directly out of college, but also beyond in preparing them for grad school and future promotions.
